Lorene Rangel joined BASIS Shavano in 2017 as Auxiliary Programs Assistant and later Auxiliary Programs Coordinator. A San Antonio native, Lorene graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s University with a BS in Accounting, and she is a Texas CPA.
Lorene began her career at the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen in the San Antonio office and later worked for Dell, Inc. in Austin. She has also served as the corporate controller of a high-tech startup.
Lorene took a temporary “retirement” from her career spending six years in Brazil learning Portuguese and traveling extensively throughout South America.
Lorene is excited to serve as the Head of Operations for BASIS Shavano and work with the families of our wonderful school, and she is committed to bringing the same level of excellence to the HOPS role as our students bring to their academic endeavors.
