Sandra Alonso joined BASIS San Antonio Primary North Central Campus in 2018 as a Visual Arts SET. The following year, she was promoted to Dean of Students. Currently, as the Director of Academic Programs, Ms. Alonso oversees the curriculum program and works closely to support the teachers on the administration side of testing and benchmark assessments as well as our academic support program.

Before BASIS, Ms. Alonso spent a few years working in the corporate world before realizing her true calling was in education. Ms. Alonso completed a certification program through Texas Teachers. During her tenure at BASIS she developed relationships with the students and parents while simultaneously working towards her MEd in school counseling. Because of her experience as Dean and SET she has embraced the BASIS model of education and advanced curriculum with compassion and enthusiasm.
