Meet Carrie Koch: Head of School at BASIS Plano
Carrie Koch brings over 25 years of diverse educational experience to BASIS Plano. Her journey in education has spanned public, private, Montessori, and magnet schools, culminating in her role as the founding head of a private school in the Rockwall area. As a PhD candidate in Educational Leadership and Administration, Carrie is passionate about innovative educational practices and policies.

Q: What are you most excited about for the upcoming school year at BASIS Plano? A: I’m eager to foster a vibrant learning community at BASIS Plano. Our goal is to nurture a culture of curiosity and critical thinking, ensuring every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. I look forward to establishing traditions that celebrate both individual and collective successes.
Q: If you could have lunch with any historical figure, who would it be and why? A: I would choose Abigail Adams. Her unique perspective as the wife of one president and the mother of another provides invaluable insights into the birth of our nation. The stories she could share would be truly inspiring!
Q: What is one goal you have for your students this year? A: I aim to cultivate a growth mindset among our students. Embracing challenges and learning to persevere through difficulties are key to achieving personal and academic growth.
Meet Bryon Jones: Head of School at BASIS Richardson
Bryon Jones’s educational career is marked by his commitment to fostering academic excellence and global citizenship. With a background in teaching both domestically and internationally, Bryon brings a global perspective to his role at BASIS Richardson. His previous experience includes leading academic programs at BASIS International School Guangzhou.
